Hello, happy Tuesday, and happy Earth Day! Yep, today is Earth Day, and to do our tiny part to help reduce the landfill, we ask you to up-cycle or recycle something
on your project. Do you save product packaging to maybe someday use the acetate, chipboard, or pretty paper? Did you get rid of your coffee maker, but still have a stack of coffee filters? Do you save the mesh from your vegetables because it's just too pretty to throw away? Now is your chance to make a dent in your stash!
I know we aren't the only challenge blog to have an Earth Day theme this week, so you may already be thinking about your collection of Must Keeps. We encourage you to dig in!
Here's what our gals have made this week to inspire you:
I up-cycled a plain old composition notebook.
I re-used the paper bag my scrapbook supplies came in.
i upcycled some red marbled paper from a brochure, the packet from prima flowers and a flattened SODA CAN (!) from which i diecut the heart with wings!
I upcycled a mini egg tube to make a piggy bank.
I used a piece of tissue paper that came wrapped around some stamps I ordered.
I altered a frame that I had decorated YEARS ago and that hadn't held up well.
This was a single layer invitation, I took the flower off popped it up and added some ribbon, then layered it to make an A2 card.
I used coffee filters to make the flowers, and I recycled a cork coaster to die cut the oval frame.
Now it's YOUR turn to up-cycle or recycle! Go into your stash, grab something you just couldn't bear to throw away, use it, then come back and link up below so we can stop by and see what you've made!
Mr Linky will be open until Monday, April 28th, at 11:55 pm EDT
. To be eligible for our Saturday Shout-out, please remember to limit your total number of challenges to 13
, including ours.
