Shopping Our Stash Challenge 9 Technique Turn Back

Hello everyone and welcome to SOS Challenge 9! First, a big THANK YOU to all of you who participated in our last challenge! Such a wonderful response and variety of projects! You all rock!

This week our challenge is Technique Turn Back:

Do you have some supplies gathering dust for a special technique that you haven't used in awhile (or ever)? Perhaps some Dreamweaver stencils, quilling, alcohol inks, shaving cream backgrounds, brayer techniques, melted crayon backgrounds, microfine glitter and scor-tape, even coloring with a different medium than you usually use? Dust off those supplies and create something new! You aren't limited to those suggestions, but be sure to tell us what technique you are using.

Check out the fabulous DT creations- these ladies always amaze me with their projects! Be sure to stop by their blogs for details on how they made their card!

Alica used this beautiful acetate and tissue technique

Paige used this magic-resist paper for this super cute card

Marie broke out her alcohol ink kit on this amazing card

Leslie used this neat post it note technique to frame her image

Deena created this fabulous card using Emerging Color technique

Guest DT Heather made this awesome card using the Black Magic technique

Carla used the shaving cream background technique for this neat card

Lisa used the baby wipe technique for this exquisite card

Crystal made this spectuacular card with the outline stickers and microfine glitter

And Guest DT Kim did this fabulous layout with punch art...so cool!

We cannot wait to see what you come up with this week- there are so many different techniques and ideas out there!

A reminder: You can create anything...card, layout, altered item, sewing, fiber art, etc. Be sure to limit your combining of challenges to no more than 13 total and tell us what technique you are using!

  5. I posted the wrong photo for the linky but it's the same post and I have it labeled. Hope that is not a problem. It's early for me and I'm just not awake yet. Sorry. The LO in the post has the old technique used.

  8. The DT projects reminded me of some of my favorite techniques that had been dropped from rotation. I'm excited to try them again.

My card features heat embossing with metallic embossing powders. They've all been in a box for close to a decade and were happy to see the light again :-)
