Hello everyone! We are knee-deep in winter in some areas this time of year, and with colder temps and less sunshine comes Winter Blues! But don't let our challenge title limit you to a winter theme! As long as your project is Primarily BLUE (any shades are fine) it works!

I seem to not use a lot of blues when crafting, but I really enjoyed doing something off my normal routine- and I used up some blue stash!

Shopping Our Stash Challenge 24: Cowboys/County/Western/ Sports

How 'bout them Cowboys? When I first came up with this challenge I was thinking of FOOTBALL season because that's what crisp, fall weather feels like to me! Being from Texas and growing up watching the Cowboys, it was common for that phrase "how 'bout them Cowboys" to be heard quite often!

Just taking a moment to remember the glory days of Roger Staubach...

So that's where the idea for a challenge to use anything sports related, cowboy related came from- and we stretched it to include anything CLOSE to cowboys or sports! Think horses, cows, ranches, farms, pick up trucks, tailgates, cowboys/cowgirls, cattle, bulls, rodeo, saddles, OR anything to do with sports- football, soccer, swimming, fishing, yoga, racing, cheerleading, skating, walking, jogging, etc. See how easy this is?

Happy World Card Making Day!

Isnt't this a perfect card for the occassion? Deena made this. I am sure if you pop by her blog this weekend you will see that and no tellings what else she will be creating!

I hope you get to spend some time crafting no matter where you are! The day sorta snuck up on me, for some reason I had it my head it was a couple of weeks away!
I know there are several online and probably local stores having sales! I am trying to resist. I am setting some a couple of goals for myself this weekend:

1. Finish all my swaps ( I have two sets of cards to make) and one set of card kits to make plus three other kits for swaps I am in.

and

2. Participate in two other challenges!

Welcome to SOS Challenge 11! This week we have a challenge that will hopefully help you sort thru your stash and come up with a use for some Vellum and/or Violet (purples, flowers) and/or Violins (music, sheet music, anything music related)!

Remember you don't have to use all three components... any one or any combo will do!

Paige used vellum and violet color along with a floral image

Lisa used vellum cardstock, the color violet and floral image, and sheet music background

Leslie used vellum and a floral image

Alica used violet and vellum

Crystal used violet color theme and vellum and lyrics from a song (music theme)

So remember to limit your links to a total of 13 for challenge entries and be sure to explain how it fits the challenge! We have had to remove a few for not fitting in with the rules and we hate to do that!

Can you believe July is practically over? I can't! This year is flying by. Of course there are days that seem to go on forever hehe at work, but overall the year is zooming by.

Shopping Our Stash Challenge 10 Buttons, blooms and bananas!

Is it me or are the weeks moving way too fast lately? Time for Challenge 10!

Buttons, Blooms and Bananas: (you don't have to use all ...just make sure you have at least ONE of the categories covered)

Let's gather up those odd buttons and blooms that have been waiting to be called into service! Do you have a button jar full of old or mismatched buttons or scads of paper flowers? How about coming up with a new way to use your buttons or blooms? If that doesn't do the trick for you, how about digging out any vegetable and/or fruit themed stamps, papers or embellishments or the color banana?

You should have no problem being able to find at least one of those in your stash!

Yay it's Friday! I hope wherever you are this week you've had crafty time and not been too overwhelmed by summer heat (or winter cold depending)! Here in Winnipeg we had a few days of really high temps with high humidity making things really unpleasant!

Hello everyone and welcome to SOS Challenge 9! First, a big THANK YOU to all of you who participated in our last challenge! Such a wonderful response and variety of projects! You all rock!

This week our challenge is Technique Turn Back:

Do you have some supplies gathering dust for a special technique that you haven't used in awhile (or ever)? Perhaps some Dreamweaver stencils, quilling, alcohol inks, shaving cream backgrounds, brayer techniques, melted crayon backgrounds, microfine glitter and scor-tape, even coloring with a different medium than you usually use? Dust off those supplies and create something new! You aren't limited to those suggestions, but be sure to tell us what technique you are using.
