Shopping Our Stash 107: Use Your Oldest Embellishment

Hello everyone! Today at Shopping Our Stash  for Challenge 107 we are asking you to dig way back into your stash and pull out your oldest embellishment and use it on your project.  Maybe you have a ton of brads or eyelets you bought when you started crafting, or stickers, or flowers, or ???  Use it on your project and link it up!  Please tell us what it is in your post!

The SOS Crew dug deep and found some old treasures:

Deena used some stickers she bought 12 years ago

Jessi used a decorative button

Leslie used clear/vellum stickers

Linda- used a Prima flower

Alica- took her old flat Primas and made them 3 D

Carla used an old sticker

Lauren made her old flat Primas into a ruffle border

Hopefully we have inspired you to pull out some of your oldest stash items and use them up!  Thanks for stopping by!

Summer is officially here - at least here in the Northern hemisphere. Are you excited?
Do you get more time to craft during summer or less?
Did you play in our "Use your oldest stamp" challenge?
If yes, take a look bellow, maybe your creation made our Top 3. If no, still take a look and see great new creations with not so new stamps.

Shopping Our Stash Challenge 106: Geometric Shapes

Hello and thanks for stopping by!  Today at Shopping Our Stash we begin another challenge, and this one may *seem* hard, but really, it isn't!  We want to see geometric shapes on your card!  And one rectangle shape for the card base or sentiment box doesn't count!  Use patterned paper that has definite shapes, or create your own like some of the DT did below.

Here are the creations by the SOS Crew:

Leslie

Carla

Linda

Jessi

Deena

Be sure to limit your links to other challenges to a total of 13 including ours, and be sure to follow the theme!  Thanks again, and Happy Crafting!

Saturday Shoutout

Good Morning and Happy Father's Day weekend for all who celebrate it!
We had a LOT of fantastic entries in our "No Patterned Paper" challenge, which shows how creative and resourceful you all are, so it was extremely hard to pick only 3 favorites. But we did it and here they come:

Claire C

Ellen Taylor

Kathy Jo

SOS #105 - Oldest Stamp

Hello there, and happy Tuesday.  Ready for the new challenge? This week we ask you to use your oldest stamp. We collectors all have some "oldies but goodies" in our stash, mostly because we love them so, even though we rarely use them. Go dig around and find the oldest stamp you still have on hand - some of us found we'd successfully purged our earlier stuff, so just use one of the oldest ones you still have. You loved it once, and we ask you to show it some love - and ink - again.

Here's what the ladies on the DT dug up for your inspiration:

Linda

Deena
Lauren
Carla
Alica

How was that trip down memory lane? Now it's YOUR turn! Go into your stash and find the oldest stamp you still own, use it, then come back here to SOS and link us up so we can see what you've made!

You have until midnight on Monday, June 17th to link up. Please remember to limit your total challenges to 13, including ours.

SOS #104 No Patterned Paper

It's Tuesday, and that means it's time for a new challenge. This week we ask you to use no patterned paper in your creations. "Patterned paper" includes pre-printed patterned papers, digi patterned papers, book pages, music sheets ... pretty much anything you can slap on a card. We would like you to examine your stash and use other stuff for your card backgrounds and elements. Some ideas are: stamp your own pattern, use an embossing folder, score a pattern, die-cut a pattern, use an inky technique ... you get the idea, right? You could also leave it plain! Just make sure to tell us what you did.

Here are some ideas from our DT:

We all pretty much took different approaches. I hope we've given you a few ideas!

Now it's your turn! Think about ways to make a card with no patterned paper. Dig out embossing folders, or reinkers for an inky technique, or stamp your own patterns. Whatever you do, come on back and link us up so we can see what you've made!
